For outdoor placements where no existing structure is available, we use heavy concrete blocks to anchor objects. This is a stable and secure solution, especially for larger inflatable or wind-sensitive set pieces.
Application:
Large inflatables
Detached objects on open ground
Situations where anchoring in the substrate is not possible (asphalt/concrete)
Points of interest:
Flat and firm surface required
Forklift access on delivery
Weight matched to wind load and object type
If a location already has a structure (for example, a stage, tent structure, truss or layher tower), we can safely attach our objects to it with truss clamps or lifting eyes. This makes installation fast and efficient.
Application:
Stage decoration
Indoor venues
Existing truss or scaffolding structures.
Points of interest:
Bearing capacity and stability of existing structure
Pre-tuning positions with light/sound/tech
Always work with certified fasteners

For lighter objects or indoor applications, it is possible to hang decorations from ceilings or rigging points. We provide these objects with fastening eyes or loops so they are easy to mount. Often we also supply the necessary fasteners, but always check with us.
Application:
Shopping malls / Marquees
Fairs and event halls
Indoor festivals or shows
Points of interest:
Have suspension performed or checked by a professional
Check that the ceiling can handle the load
Use safe lifting equipment (e.g., steel wire ropes with fuse)
For outdoor placement, safe anchoring is mandatory. Even in light winds, an object with a lot of surface area can pose a hazard. Many of our objects can be quickly deployed (deflated) during storms, reducing the amount of wind they catch.
Tip: consult with us about the location and situation so we can advise you on the right installation solution.
Truss clamps (with certification)
Steel cables, webbing straps, chains
Concrete blocks (different weights)
Bottom plates, internal frames or pedestals
Tie-wraps/ chains (temporary, light applications)
Couplers for truss or layher
Is there a structure present from which to hang?
How is the substrate (flat, load-bearing, accessible)?
Are there any technical drawings or rigging plans available?
How is the accessibility for supply of large objects?
Is there power supply (for inflatables with blowers)?
Are there any specific rules from municipality, fire department or location?
Every location is unique and so is every installation. At Deco Dudes we always like to think about the best way of placement. Sometimes that is with concrete blocks, sometimes via existing truss, and sometimes just with a clever freestanding solution.
Contact us for advice, drawings or a technical consultation. Together we will make sure it stands like a house.
