Eye-catching festival decorations at San Hejmo

For San Hejmo in Weeze, we were tasked with providing and setting up various decorative elements. At the entrance, large butterflies were placed on the old shipping containers, which looked especially beautiful in the evening. The teddy bears perched on top of the containers also added to the atmosphere and made the location instantly recognizable to visitors.

Butterflies at the Welcome Gate

The entrance to a festival is often the first thing visitors see. For San Hejmo, we decorated the welcome gate—built from old shipping containers—with large butterflies on both sides.

The butterflies provided a colorful contrast to the rugged appearance of the containers. They were already clearly visible during the day, but as soon as it got dark, the lighting made them stand out even more beautifully. The light accentuated the shapes and colors of the butterflies and gave the entrance a striking appearance even in the evening.

In addition to their appearance, practicality was also important. The butterflies were easy to install, which allowed them to be set up efficiently and fit well into the design of the entrance.

Teddy bears as landmarks

We placed large teddy bears on top of the containers. These gave the area a playful and cozy feel, and because of their size, they were clearly visible from the grounds.

Lampshades scattered throughout the grounds

We also added decorations in other areas of the grounds. We placed lampshades throughout the festival grounds, giving each zone its own unique look.

By using decorative elements not only at the entrance but also in other areas, you can create a more cohesive look. Even small details can make a big difference in how a space feels.

A festive atmosphere in the party hall

The party hall was also decorated. We added more color and atmosphere to the space with garlands and palm trees.

The combination of these elements created a festive atmosphere that fit well with the warehouse’s function. In this way, this space also became part of the overall festival experience.

Decor that combines atmosphere and familiarity

Festival decorations aren't just about how something looks, but also about its function on the grounds. The butterflies made the entrance more eye-catching, especially when lit up in the evening. The teddy bears added a playful element and helped make the space instantly recognizable.
